It creates a tiny spark that ignites the mixture of petrol and air inside the engine. This results in a small explosion, and this explosion is what makes the car move. The compression from the blast spins the wheels, and that’s how the car moves!
Gasoline engines have evolved massively over the decades. There were a long ago these engines were not too fast and some petrol for this not too kindly situation. However, engines have significantly improved due to new technology and inventions. They consume less fuel and are better performers. It means they can travel further and use less fuel doing it.” And modern engines emit less noxious gas that contaminates the air we breath. Now, this is a huge boost for our planet!
There are advantages and disadvantages to petrol powered cars. The upside is that petrol is easy to come by in many countries. You can go to a petrol station and usually there is petrol for cars. The most obvious one is that petrol engines are incredibly powerful. They are fast and just great for highway driving. But there are some negatives as well. Petrol is something that will run out eventually like it is the case with water if we do not take proper care of the planet. Petrol can also contribute to air pollution, which is harmful to our health and the environment. And petrol engines can be quite loud in comparison. This noise could irritate us and damage our eardrums and their ears.
Electric cars have been a hot topic lately. These cars are quite different from one another, as they are powered by electricity instead of petrol. The cool thing about electric cars is that they cause absolutely no pollution whatsoever! It means they are more environmentally friendly. Yet, petrol vehicles have some of their own merits. They are better for long trips since they can cover long distances without requiring a long period to recharge. If you own a petrol car and you want to go on a long drive, you can fill the petrol tank in just a few minutes. But electric vehicles take time to charge, which is a little inconvenience for those used to driving petrol vehicles. Who knows? Perhaps one day a car maker like DLST Auto will make a vehicle that can run on both electricity and petrol. That gives us the best of both worlds!
